The meeting of the teams was characterized by a high level of intensity, with several leadership changes in both games.
SC Rheindahlen showed great fighting spirit and initially led 1-0 through a goal by Ousmane Sylla in the 15th minute. However, the dream of climbing seemed to burst when the team was 1: 3 behind after half an hour. Despite a furious catch-up, in which Rheindahlen meant 5: 4 in the meantime, the game ended with a dramatic 5: 6 against Red-Weiß Venn. In injury time two late goals were decisive, while Türkiyemspor won in parallel against Otzenrath and thus secured the runner -up title.

relegation and descent
While there was tension in the promotion race, the games in the basement of the table were no less exciting. BW Wickrathhahn surprisingly secured the relegation with a 4: 3 victory against SV Lürrip. Police SV Mönchengladbach also managed to remain the league with a narrow 1-0 against ASV Süchteln II.
In the direct relegation battle, SV Schelsen prevailed with a 5-2 victory against Victoria Mennrath II, which thus sealed the descent. The Red Stars are now stuck as a relegation, while Odenkirchen and 1. FC Mönchengladbach are still threatened with relegation. DJK Hehn stays in the league, but still needs shooter help to escape the descent strudel.
The last matchday of the season is now just around the corner, which will take place on May 31 and June 1, 2025, and is expected with great tension. Both the promotion and relegation questions are in focus.
