Missed 80-year-old from Schleiden found after great commitment!
An 80-year-old man from Schleiden, who had been missing since Thursday evening (Ascension Day), was found safely in the forest area above the Schleiden Hospital. The senior had not returned from his walks, which immediately called the Euskirchen police on the scene. Extensive search measures were immediately initiated, in which a police helicopter and search dogs were also used. These show how important such air support is when looking for missing people. Helicopters offer quick help in critical situations and are particularly indispensable in areas that are difficult to access to provide an overview and ensure security, such as tag24 reported.
In the night of Friday, an attentive witness gave a crucial note that led to the senior. He was finally found in the forest, whereupon the emergency services worked immediately on site and provided him. Afterwards the 80-year-old could be brought home safely. The Euskirchen police thanked all the emergency services and the witness, who contributed to the quick finding of the missing person. Such missions are not uncommon in Germany: According to BKA, just under 10,000 people are registered as missing, and 200 to 300 new reports are made every day, such as "https://www.salind-gpps.de/vermis-s-speren/"> Salindo GPS Notes.
missing persons in Germany
The total number of missing persons has been constant in Germany for years, with almost half of the cases being clarified within the first week. Nevertheless, around three percent of the missing people remain unnecessary for a year or more. Seniors who often live alone are at risk. In addition, about half of the missing persons are young people and children, whereby there are many reasons for disappearance, including personal crises or school problems, as also on Salindo gps
The search for missing people often also requires modern technologies such as mobile phone location and digital trace evaluation in order to quickly determine the location. GPS trackers could also be a helpful measure in the future to locate people in need. The efficiency of the search campaigns depends heavily on the information from the public and the immediate reaction of the emergency services. Thanks to these coordinated measures, the authorities were once again able to record a positive outcome in the case of the missing senior citizen from Schleiden.
