Full closure B2 between Starnberg and Weilheim: detours announced!

From the coming week, drivers between Starnberg and Weilheim on federal road 2 will have to expect diversions. The reason is upcoming road construction work on the Hirschberg near Pähl, where the road surface is to be renewed over a length of two kilometers. This work will cost around 1.4 million euros and performed in two phases, as reported by the Süddeutsche Zeitung

The first construction phase begins with the removal of a lane in the three -lane area, which is to be completed by Whit Monday, June 9th. During this time, single -lane traffic routing will be set up in both directions, whereby turning from the B 2 to the district road WM 9 towards Pähl will not be possible. The detour to Pähl takes place via Wielenbach and the state road 2056.

construction work and diversions

The second construction phase provides for a full block of the B 2 from June 10th to 18th in order to carry out necessary asphalting work and to renew the markings. During this full closure, traffic is diverted via the Starnberg district of Perchting to Andechs, Vorderfischen and Wielenbach. A corresponding signage is set up for this, so that road users should plan more time. The road construction work could be postponed due to the weather, as in Presseportal of the state building Weilheim is noted.

The implementation of the work is responsible for the company Kutter from Bad Wörishofen. If you have any questions, Mr. Lenker on 0881/990-1020 and Mr. Stapf are available at 0881/990-1021.

long -term improvements in transport

In addition to the current construction projects, there is also a fundamental reassessment of the federal traffic planning planning. The BUND pointed out the need to overcome the no longer up -to -date planning approach. In the context of the new Federal Transport Infrastructure and Mobility Plan 2040, integrated and targeted approaches are to be developed that take into account all modes of transport and determine clearly defined goals for transport system development.

These measures not only aim at improving the infrastructure, but also on climate -friendly mobility in accordance with the challenges of progress, such as the increasing use of electric vehicles, which results in loss of income from fuel taxes. The planning approach will also emphasize constant evaluation and adaptation as well as the inclusion of the public and interest.
