The city of Frankfurt (Oder) and its neighboring Polish neighboring town of Słubice are all about classical music this summer. From August 3 to 30, 2025, the open-air festival "Classical Without Borders" will take place there. In the picturesque backdrop of the parks of both cities, eight free concerts for music lovers are offered on a total of five weekends. And that's the beginning!

The festival is organized under the patronage of Brandenburg's Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (SPD) and Marcin Jabłoński (Koalicja Obywatelska) and curated by Tomasz Pilarski. The musical palette ranges from works by great composers such as Mozart and Beethoven to exciting crossover projects with jazz and world music. The commitment of a saxophone quartet is particularly impressive. Works by Vivaldi, Rossini and Queen as well as popular film soundtracks will perform.

family -friendly offers and highlights

A highlight of the festival is the hands-on concert for children, which is led by the moderator Malte Arkona. The piano cycle "Images of an exhibition" is listed, which will surely inspire the young audience. The large symphonic final concert, led by Howard Griffiths and with the soloist Maria Machowska, represents the musical highlight of the festival. The crowning glory is Edward Elgar's "Land of Hope and Glory", supported by the Frankfurt Singakademie.

The organizers of Messe und Veranstaltungs GmbH, headed by Managing Director Sven Tietze, emphasize the cultural importance of this festival. For all visitors there is the opportunity to bring your own picnic ceilings and baskets with you or use the culinary offers on site. The concerts also take place in bad weather conditions, since they may be moved to the St. Marien Church or to the Collegium Polonicum.
