Small park night in Frankfurt (Oder): Family festival delights 2,000 visitors!

On June 22, 2025, the Lennépark in Frankfurt (Oder) was transformed into a place of joy when the 15th Little Park Night took place. Under the motto “180 years of the Bürgerpark – a celebration for the citizens,” the event attracted around 2,000 visitors, with the focus being on families. The organizers, including the partners of the Lennépark citizens' initiative and numerous young volunteers, created a varied program that made the hearts of those present beat faster.
[moz.de] reports that the Schmeisseich acted as a historical setting and was the highlight of the festival.

The opening took place at 5:00 p.m., accompanied by musical performances by the students of the Frankfurt Music School. Afterwards, visitors were able to experience a puppet show by the Theater of Laughter and a musical evening walk with the “Heavenly Voices” gospel choir. The crowning conclusion was a colorful program with the rock band “Bold’n Reckless”, performances by the children’s dance group VIVADANZA and the large choir of the Singakademie Frankfurt (Oder) e. V., which ended at 8:45 p.m.
But that wasn't all: the Children's Adventure World offered opportunities to play and do crafts, while the children's play stations gave the little guests 200 vouchers for ice cream at the Villa Rosengarten stand.

Security and support

Safety was well taken care of at the event. Interior Minister René Wilke praised the security concept, which was developed in collaboration with the public order office and the police. Despite the large number of visitors, there were no incidents, which proves that the security measures worked very well given the new challenges.
According to the report from [convention.visitberlin.de], security concepts have become more important in recent years and are tailored to respond to different scenarios and ensure the safety of participants.

Over 350 helpers were on hand to make the festival run smoothly. In addition to the safety concept, donations were also collected for the renovation of the park benches, as 20 old benches in the southern area of the park urgently need to be renovated. The cost of a bench is around 300 euros, which is an incentive for visitors to show their commitment. Fundraisers are not only necessary, but also a sign of community.

Culinary highlights and creative offers

Physical well-being was also taken care of: various delicacies invited guests to feast, and the “Green Art & Book Garden” offered opportunities to stroll and browse.
The event impressed with its diversity and the commitment of the organizers. The “Path of Light”, traditionally designed by Lebenshilfe Frankfurt (Oder) e. V., took visitors into a magical world and conveyed a feeling of belonging and togetherness among the citizens.
