The participants can learn more about the everyday life in the field of computer science and actively participate. As part of the festival, the young people can not only participate in interactive lectures, but also visit workshops that deal with current topics.

diverse workshop offer

The offer includes different workshops on exciting topics such as web development, IT security, 3D animation and modeling, python programming, arduino applications, creative coding, artificial intelligence and game design. In addition, the participants have the option of creating an individual module plan that corresponds to their interests.

The modules take place daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., followed by additional community events from 4 p.m. Further modules and detailed descriptions will be published in the near future to expand the diversity of the offer.

digital media literacy for students

The offer of the Tech. Festival is supplemented by further initiatives to promote media literacy. According to Digital training , 5 to 10 different workshops are available for pupils in classes that deal with the handling of digital media. The focus is on topics such as cyberbullying, fake news and the competent use of smartphones.

Every workshop has a duration of 90 minutes and can record a maximum of 100 students per group. In addition, the participants have the opportunity to bring their own smartphones to gain practical experience.

Some of the topics dealt with in these workshops are opportunities and dangers of smartphone use, dealing with social media, and the importance of data protection. The recognition of false news and hate speech is also treated in special units.

The combination of technological know-how and media literacy formation makes the Tech.Festival a valuable platform for young people in order to deal with the challenges and opportunities of the digital world.
