On Friday, May 23, 2025, there was a shocking traffic accident on the A8 motorway near Zusmarshausen, in which an alcoholic driver touched a truck trailer. Around 11:00 a.m., a 42-year-old man moved with his VW on the middle lane towards Stuttgart when he abruptly swung out and collided with the trailer of a truck.

The alarmed police quickly found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol - a breath alcohol test resulted in just under 0.9 per thousand! As a result, not only the vehicle keys were taken away, but also a blood sample was ordered. His driver's license was also ensured because the driver's license could be withdrawn in the near future. The consequences of the accident not only scored the parties: two traces had to be blocked for about an hour and a half, while the truck driver had to take minor injuries. The damage? A significant extent of around 30,000 euros!
