Salar of fraud in Bonn: 20-year-olds loses 1,000 euros to strangers!

The Bonn police are looking for an unknown fraudster who is said to have brought a 20-year-old woman for 1,000 euros on March 29, 2025. The man who tried to explain with a defective bank card spoke to the helpful young woman on Kölnstrasse and asked for cash. He promised to reimburse her the money by direct transfer so that she could withdraw and hand over the amount to him on an ATM. After the woman had withdrawn the money, she received no money in her account.

The police urgently warns of this scam and advises caution, especially when strangers ask for cash. Emotional manipulation is often a means of tricking helpful people. Anyone who has information about the identity of the fraudster is asked to report to kk24.bonn@polizei.nrw.de on the phone number 0228 15-0 or by email.
