Metzer Straße, 27568 Bremerhaven, Deutschland - A scooter driver in Bremerhaven Geestemünde noticed a civilian on June 11th shortly before midnight due to his striking driving style. The 54-year-old drove in snake lines and slower than walking speed on Metzer Straße. When he stopped on the field road, the police officer recognized and spoke to him. Immediately the smell of alcohol and the flap behavior of the driver was noticeable.

During the control, the man stated that they were without a valid driver's license due to a driving ban and decided to "buy" the scooter from a friend on the same day. But he could not provide proof of ownership. The officials found that the scooter had no valid approval or insurance cover. A breath test confirmed his inability to drive, whereupon he had to go to the guard. A blood sample was taken there. The man was finally allowed to go home, but he was not allowed to take his scooter with him due to the unexplained ownership. The police are now investigating the wheel for drunkenness, driving without a license and violating the compulsory insurance law.
