Brazen car thieves strike in Schmölln at night!

In the night from Monday to Tuesday, June 10, 2025, two attempts were carried out in Schmölln. Around 2:56 a.m., two unknown perpetrators exceeded a fence in the Weidengrund street and used the vehicles of a 40-year-old who parked under a carport. They tried to penetrate both cars and the adjacent residential building, but failed and left the property.

just about an hour later, around 03:40 a.m., the same perpetrators made themselves again on another property in Waldstrasse. They opened the unlocked door of a car, but the 72-year-old vehicle owner noticed the situation and addressed the intruders. The perpetrators then fled.
