E-bike accident on the marketplace: 4-year-old injured, bike registered as stolen!

On Sunday evening around 10:15 p.m., a shocking traffic accident occurred at the Mannheim market square! A 4-year-old boy was slightly injured by an 18-year-old who was traveling with a stolen e-bike. The driver was on the way from the Kurpfalzkreisel to Paradeplatz when he collided with the child. The child fell and hit the floor with his head so that it suffered a swelling and a hematoma above the right ear. The emergency services immediately provided help on site.

But that's not all! During the accident, the police found that the e-bike was registered as stolen. The driver claimed to have received the wheel from a cousin, but the origin could not be clarified. The e-bike was then confiscated and is now becoming the subject of intensive investigations. Fortunately, both participants were calmed down and released according to the official measure.
