E-scooter without a valid license plate: police stop 29-year-olds in Ulm!

A bizarre incident occurred yesterday in Ulm when the police stopped a 29-year-old man on his e-scooter on Heidenheimer Strasse. The young man had failed to attach a valid insurance license plate - instead, an old blue sign from 2024 was emblazoned at his vehicle. When the officials discovered the mistake, the e-scooter had to be pushed home, and an advertisement is now the serious consequence.

The police remind you that e-scooter owners have to renew the insurance license plate in good time every year. The color already applies green for the insurance year 2025/2026. As is well known, electric vehicles with a maximum speed of up to 45 km/h do not require approval, but an operating license and liability insurance are essential. If you don't take care of the insurance license plate in time, you could also get into trouble.
