In the late evening of May 27, 2025, a spectacular traffic accident occurred on Extertalstrasse, in which two 19-year-olds were injured. The young driver from Rinteln accelerated his Hyundai in a curve, lost control and raced against a tree on the side of the road unchecked. The impact was so violent that the vehicle was completely destroyed.

The two occupants only suffered minor injuries, while the total damage is estimated at over 8000 euros. The police have taken up the course of the accident and are now investigating to clarify the exact circumstances of the dangerous journey.
