Kaiserslautern: Police increase controls to the safety of children!
The police in the West Palatinate has specifically checked the safety of children in road traffic as part of the nationwide traffic safety campaign "Safe.Mobil.leben - Kinder im Blick". On the day of the campaign, school paths and access to kindergartens were particularly examined in numerous towns.
In total, the officers checked 350 road users and found 48 violations. Particularly alarming: In 13 cases, children were faulty in the vehicle - either they were not really strapped or the child seats were improperly attached. In addition, eleven “parent taxis” did not stick to the parking regulations in front of schools and kindergartens. The police have initiated corresponding procedures. The controls to improve traffic safety for children are also continued beyond the action.
