Children on traffic: police start a large security campaign!

On June 3, 2025, the state police in Schleswig-Holstein will take part in the nationwide traffic safety campaign "Safe.Mobil.leben", which is under the motto "Children's eye" this year. The aim is to better protect children on road traffic and to draw attention to their special dangers. The police will set up control points near schools and kindergartens nationwide, for example to check the use of child seats and speed overruns.

In 2024, 1,247 children were injured in traffic accidents in Schleswig-Holstein, including 95, and a child lost his life. This campaign is intended to promote the security of the youngest road users. Enlightenment is also very important: with clear messages like "have children in view! Not your cell phone!" the police want to draw attention to the dangers in road traffic. The "Safe.mobil.leben" initiative was launched by the Interior Ministers' Conference in 2018 and focuses on various traffic safety risks every year.
