Garbage can in Völklingen on flames - police are looking for witnesses!

Losheimer Straße, 66333 Völklingen, Deutschland - on Saturday, June 7, 2025, a fire broke out in Völklingen when an unknown perpetrator lit a paper waste bin in the front yard of a house on Losheimer Strasse. Between 2:00 p.m. and 3:04 p.m., attentive residents and sports field visitors noticed the rising clouds of smoke and acted quickly. They managed to pull the burning bin from the property in good time before the fire could spread to the house.

The garbage can was completely destroyed by the flames. The Völklingen police have already started the investigation and are looking for witnesses who can provide relevant information on the incident or suspicious persons in the area. Contact is possible via the telephone hotline 06898/2020.
