Online fraud in the trend: This is how job seekers protect themselves in the home office!
The police headquarters Southeast Hesse raises the alarm: A dramatic increase in online fraud, especially among young people, ensures concern. The fraudsters are primarily targeting job seekers in the home office and are a serious employer to incorporate sensitive personal data and money. The procedure is particularly perfidious: Fake job offers are widespread via social media and various platforms, followed by fake employment contracts and the request to install test apps.
The perpetrators require ID copies of ID copies and access data for supposed "demo accounts", which are then abused for criminal activities. The promised remuneration as well as the advance payments that are required for the payment of alleged credit disappear. The criminal police urgently advise: Check job offers carefully and be careful when inquiring for personal data or advance payments. If the fraud is suspected, those affected should inform the police immediately and take security measures.
