Shocking insights: police show students the consequences of accidents

In an impressive kick -off event of the Hemeran Security Days in the Sauerland Park, around 300 students experienced up close this morning what the consequences of traffic accidents can have. As part of a so -called crash course, the police presented dramatic reports from rescue workers and victims who deeply touched the audience. Police chief commissioner Julia Buhrow-Loks emphasized that such terrible scenes could "possibly take place on your front door".

A fireman described his experiences in a serious accident in which a car rammed a taxi at high speed and urged the dangers of distractions at the wheel. An experienced pastor also reported on the tragic death of a 17-year-old passenger, while a surviving accident victim in a wheelchair described his painful journey after the accident. His urgent message to the young people was clear: a single moment of carelessness can change a life forever. After the event, the students remained the oppressive feeling of dismay and urgency to take responsibility in road traffic.
