Shocking accident in Hürth: Motorists ram pedestrians and children!

A tragic traffic accident occurred in Hürth on Wednesday when a driver caught several pedestrians. The first reports show that a child and a man were seriously injured, while two more children suffered minor injuries. Immediately two rescue helicopters were sent to support the rescue workers who brought the injured to surrounding hospitals.

The police have largely cordoned off Frechener Straße between Sudentenstrasse, Alstädter Straße and Theresienhöhe. A special accident recording team from the Cologne police is on site to support the investigation. Victim protectors are also available to look after the witnesses of the incident. The exact circumstances of the accident are still unclear and the police are examining whether other people are affected. The investigation is already underway.
