Ferred moment in Weiterstadt: Auto crashes in tram - two injuries!

On Friday evening (June 6th) there was a dramatic accident in Weiterstadt when a 35-year-old driver at the Frankfurter Straße / Carl-Schenck-Ring intersection wanted to turn left. At that moment a tram on the tracks raced in the same direction and crashed into the car with full force. The result: chaos on the street and a car that was thrown several meters further.

Two inmates, including a 5-year-old child, suffered minor injuries, while the passengers in the tram came away with their horrors. The material damage amounts to around 15,000 euros. The rescue work ensured that the route was blocked for around 1.5 hours, while the police and rescue workers were on site. A significant traffic assignment that dramatically influenced the action!
