Safe on the go: the police ensure more protection for children in traffic
On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the Hessian police set a clear sign of more safety in road traffic! Under the motto "Safe.Mobil.leben - Kinder an eye", the police were active nationwide to protect weaker road users. Around 295 civil servants made sure that at 112 checkpoints near schools and kindergartens, punishments were imposed on speed violations and other violations. The goal: more consideration and fewer traffic accidents!
The "Blitz for Kids" campaign in Frankfurt was particularly striking, in which children distributed green and yellow cards to road users. The message was clear: positive behavior is rewarded, but risky driving is punished! In a campaign that lasts one day, impressive 2,697 vehicles were checked, and proud 975 violations were found. The result shows how important such measures are to increase traffic safety and to raise awareness of dangers in road traffic!Details | |
