Safe children in traffic: Ulm police control parent taxis!

On Tuesday, the focus was on the safety of children in road traffic on Tuesday. Police Ulm checked more than 534 vehicles at 50 checkpoints, especially near schools and kindergartens. 165 traffic violations were found, of which 67 vehicles were driven without the prescribed child safety and was parked incorrectly in front of schools.

The campaign was aimed at all road users to minimize the dangers for children. The so -called "parent taxi" is trendy, but it carries risks: parents who hold in front of schools or park in the ban on stopping not only block the flow of traffic, but also create dangerous situations. An abrupt support can have fatal consequences for children who are on foot. The police appealed to the parents to take their children safely and considerently and use suitable parking spaces.
