Safe road traffic: police start campaign for children in Hesse!

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the Hessian police took part in the cross -border traffic safety campaign "Safe.Mobil.leben - Kinder AM Black". The aim was to protect weaker road users, especially children, and to reduce the number of traffic accidents. The nationwide campaign started early in the morning with 295 police officers at 112 checkpoints, including schools, kindergartens and retirement homes.

A total of 2,697 vehicles were checked in the course of the check, with 975 violations of the rules, including speeding and cell phone use at the wheel. A highlight of the measures was the "Blitz for Kids" campaign in Frankfurt, in which children with Greens or yellow cards rewarded for their behavior or warned. The police drew a positive balance: Many road users were made aware of dangers that are often overlooked in everyday life.
