Security on two wheels: Police checked over 600 vehicles in the Palatinate
Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Deutschland - Between the 21st and 23rd of May 2025, a comprehensive traffic check took place in the Rheinpfalz police headquarters under the motto "Roadpol control days Two-Wheelers". In this campaign for the first time, motorcycles, bicycles, pedelecs and e-scooters were targeted. The aim was to increase traffic safety and reduce the number of accidents.
A total of 614 vehicles were checked during the controls, including 56 motorized two-wheelers, 333 bicycles (including e-bikes and pedelecs) and 225 e-scooters. The police registered remarkable 164 violations. The measures underline the important role of traffic surveillance and the need for regular controls to avoid traffic accidents and injuries on the streets of the Vorder- und Südpfalz, where the police headquarters are responsible for more than 900,000 citizens.| Details | |
