Safety for the little ones: Wuppertal police checked school routes
On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the Wuppertal police carried out comprehensive traffic control as part of the nationwide traffic safety campaign "Safe.Mobil.leben". The focus was on the safety of the youngest road users in the Bergisches Städtedreieck. Between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., the officials controlled traffic areas, especially in front of schools and daycare centers, to minimize speed violations and risks in school traffic.
A total of 145 vehicles were checked in this campaign. The balance sheet speaks for itself: 43 speed violations, nine cases of driving department and 15 parking offices near schools and daycare centers were found. The police announced that they will continue to have a waxing eye on the safety of the way to school and will regularly carry out controls.| Details | |
