Security campaign in Hesse: Police protect children in road traffic!

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the Hessian police took part in a large -scale traffic safety campaign under the motto "Safe.Mobil.leben - Kinder an eye". The aim of the campaign was to better protect weaker road users, especially children, and reduce traffic accidents. With a total of 295 police officers and 112 checkpoints, the entire region, especially near schools and kindergartens, was sensitized to more consideration in road traffic.

The measures included both preventive actions and controls for speed measurement. A total of 2,697 vehicles were checked, with 975 violations, including exceeding speeds and mobile phone use at the wheel. Particularly noteworthy is the "Blitz for Kids" campaign in Frankfurt, in which children distributed green and yellow cards to road users in order to point out correct or risky behavior. The police drew a positive balance of the day and was able to draw attention to many road users to dangers that are often overlooked.
