Fatal motorcycle accident in Wildeshausen: driver dies in collision

A tragic traffic accident shook Wildeshausen on Wednesday evening, June 11, 2025. A 55-year-old motorcyclist from Twistringen lost control of his vehicle at 7:30 p.m. and raced into oncoming traffic. In a dramatic turn, he bounced head-on with a Mercedes from the 43-year-old driver from the district of Diepholz.

The collision had fatal consequences: the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries. In order to secure the scene of the accident, Pestruper Straße was completely blocked in this area. The blocking measures that were taken over by the Wildeshausen road maintenance department had existed until midnight. Both vehicles were towed, while the police's investigation continued to the cause of the accident.
