Accident in Ulm: Middle bus collides with tram - several injuries!

A serious traffic accident occurred in Ulm this morning when a 72-year-old man disregarded the priority of a tram with a minibus at an intersection. The incident happened shortly after 8 a.m. on the Böfinger Steige when the driver wanted to turn left into Georg-Elser-Weg. The collision led to minor injuries for the driver, his 71-year-old passenger and four children between the ages of 10 and 12 who went on in the minibus.

The tram remained intact, and its 51-year-old driver and all passengers got away without injuries. Rescue workers hurried to the scene of the accident and brought the injured to a nearby clinic. The property damage was estimated at around 50,000 euros, with the minibus rating at 10,000 euros and the tram at 40,000 euros. To salvage the small bus and the accident recording, the Böfinger Steige had to be temporarily blocked for traffic, while the Ulm police initiated investigations.
