Due to a defective traffic light system, a drastic speed limit of only 30 km/h applies, while numerous students cross the road dangerously on their way to school. The police have been increasingly in use since the failure was announced, but the traffic situation remains alarming.

On Friday morning, the officials carried out speed measurements between 07:15 and 12:30 p.m. - and the results are shocking! Over 1,000 drivers ride too quickly in this critical area, every third person exceeds the new speed limit! A total of 3,668 vehicles were counted towards Rheda-Wiedenbrück. Against 299 speeders were initiated by the administrative offense, and 11 of them even have to expect a driving ban, as they exceeded the permissible 30 km/h by more than 31 km/h. While children are on the way to school, this represents an enormous risk - urgent need for action is announced!
