Traffic chaos in Rostock: tram collides with a van!

on Wednesday morning, around 8:30 a.m., there was a dramatic traffic accident between a tram and an Opel transporter in the Rostock Südstadt. The 61-year-old driver of the van collided with the parallel tram while turning to the right into Ernst-Haeckel-Straße.

The police had to block the tram traffic in both directions for about an hour, while the accident recording and rescue work were carried out. Both participants are German citizens. Investigations into the exact cause of the accident are underway.
