Two drunks at the wheel: the police stop alcohol offices in Schifferstadt

On Sunday evening, June 1st, 2025, two alcoholic road users in Schifferstadt were pulled out of circulation in Schifferstadt. At 6:55 p.m., the police checked a 26-year-old motorcyclist in Herweghstraße, whose passenger did not wear a helmet. During the check, the officials noticed strong alcohol smell. A breath alcohol test showed alarming 1.42 per thousand, which is why the driver was taken from a blood sample. In addition, the motorcycle was not insured.

A few hours later, around 11:40 p.m., the police came across a 23-year-old driver with a strong smell of alcohol on Hans-Purrmann-Straße. He also had signs of manipulation. A breath alcohol test carried out showed 1.32 per thousand. A blood sample was also taken from him, while the manipulated license plate was secured. In both cases, investigative proceedings were heralded in traffic.
