The Christmas market in Frankfurt (Oder) promises to be bigger and more inviting in 2025. The event starts on November 24th and lasts until December 21st, and visitors can look forward to an expanded area with festive Christmas lights. It is already clear: construction begins on November 15th, and more stands are expected than in previous years, which should ensure additional crowds. On the opening days - from Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. - visitors can not only try various delicacies, but also enjoy the atmospheric atmosphere. The prices for the popular delicacies range from €5 for a Thuringian Rostbratwurst, €4 for a glass of mulled wine and from €4 per 100 g for roasted almonds.
Diverse program
A highlight of the market is the family days, which take place every Wednesday from 5 p.m. There is also a stage program that starts on Fridays at 6 p.m. For younger visitors, Santa Claus will be on site on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., while a special Santa Claus event will take place on December 6th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. In addition, an integration day is planned, on which special offers for people with disabilities will be provided - but the exact date is still to be determined.
Parallel to the Christmas market, the Advent market in St. Marien takes place on December 6th and 7th and on December 13th and 14th, which offers a great experience for the whole family for just €3 entry. With over 50 vendors and daily musical entertainment from 1 p.m., St. Marien also has a lot on offer for young and old.
New and safe
A newly developed security concept, which includes certified access and entry barriers, ensures that visitors can move around the Christmas market without worries. The historic town hall square, which was reopened after renovation, now offers more space for all market stalls and visitors. A real stroke of luck for the city!
In comparison, Munich also offers a colorful Christmas market scene, inspired by traditional markets such as Munich Christmas market at Marienplatz to a variety of events in different parts of the city.
