Construction of the Lemförde primary school delayed: Legal dispute ensures standstill!

The expansion of the Lemförde primary school is delayed due to reworking in fire protection that are necessary before the construction project can be fully implemented. This is explained by the Kreiszeitung , which also points out that the building application has already been submitted and the first trades were awarded. The total costs for the necessary measures amount to five million euros, which includes three new classrooms as well as a cafeteria and supervision. These are particularly relevant, since from 2026 a mandatory all -day offer will be introduced at primary schools.

Currently, the play area around the new pavilion is already filled with sand to create a suitable game environment. The first major work include the shell, the elevator and lightning protection. 18 applications were received for the shell, and the allocation of further trades is planned until the weekend. From October 2025, the responsible body will deal with the interior designs and the optical design.

Litigation and perspectives of the branch office

While the work at the secondary school in Lemförde is driving, a legal dispute over the future of the branch in Brockum. This currently has a temporary operating permit, the extension of which must be requested regularly. A procedure with the Regional State Office for School and Education (RLSB) has been going on for two years. In March 2025, a renewed approval for the branch was requested, with a possible extension being promised by July 31, 2027. The velvet community pursues the goal of achieving a judicial decision on the long -term perspective of this branch.

Investments in the lower six-digit range are required for the branch office, while the renewal of the supply lines on Ernst-August-Straße has been completed on time. The roadway renewal is also scheduled for this month, with completion being planned in October. There are concerns about the traffic situation during the construction work, especially for school buses and parents who pick up their children.

initiatives and projects at primary school

In parallel to the structural measures, numerous pedagogical projects and initiatives take place at the Lemförde primary school. On May 28, 2025, as part of the project days "Learning to live healthy", the focus was on the health of the students, while a sponsor run on May 25, 2025 was supposed to support the financing of new play equipment. The proceeds from these actions are used to redesign the school area. A benefit concert, which took place on March 30, 2025, brought 1234 euros, which should also benefit the purchase of new play equipment. Theater AG also prepared for the performance of the play "Snow White and the 4 dwarfs behind the 4 mountains", which took place on January 30, 2025.

Another component in future school development is the nationwide investment program for all -day education. By the end of 2027, the federal government will provide almost three billion euros for the expansion of all -day formation and support for primary school children. From 2026, a legal right to all-day care comes into force, which underlines the importance of good educational and support offers. The all -day school expansion is particularly geared towards the needs of many families who are faced with the challenge of finding reliable care for their children.
