Campusxperience 2025: Discover, be amazed and participate at the TU!

Braunschweig, Deutschland - On May 30, 2025, the Technical University of Braunschweig has an exciting program for its students, employees and the public. President Prof. Angela Ittel talks about the strategic research orientation of the university, which is developing according to the decisions of the Excellence Initiative. These initiatives are of central importance for the innovative strength of the university and its role in the regional and global research landscape.

A highlight is about to be with the event "Campusexperience" on June 21. This takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and comprises 45 expeditions, some of which are offered bilingual. At the same time, a free shuttle bus ensures the connection to different starting points of these events. Participation requires registration to ensure that interested parties can experience the diverse offers. The event offers, among other things, show experiments and laboratory visits, which should be of great interest for young people and families.

diverse offers and initiatives

The campusexperience extends over several days, with a start on June 20 at 7 p.m. in the Audimax, where a science slam takes place. Researchers present innovative projects on topics such as metrology, city of the future and sustainable mobility. Another highlight is the "Celebrate X Summervibes Festival" on June 21, which offers a diverse musical and cultural program, supplemented by interesting workshops.

In addition, the TU Braunschweig is also working on current research topics. Satellite data observes that there is a “greening” of the grassland on the Tibetan plateau, while local yak shepherds report deteriorated pasture conditions. The Department of Hydrology and River Area Management for its practical research is also honored as part of a “do it” project. Such projects are part of the extensive endeavor to find sustainable solutions that are also supported by initiatives by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

sustainability and research

The BMBF actively promotes an innovation culture for sustainability at universities. The “Sustainability in Science” program supports the transformation of universities into more sustainable institutions. Students play an important role here by participating in projects on climate neutrality and low -emission mobility. These initiatives are crucial to minimize the influence of universities on the environment and to anchor sustainable action in science.

Numerous events and projects such as the health survey "How are you?" aim to learn more about the needs of the students and to improve their living conditions. In addition, on July 1, a guest lecture by Gunnar Groebler, the CEO of Salzgitter AG, is on the program, which deals with the challenges of the steel industry and decarbonization.

With a varied program and a clear commitment to sustainability and innovation, the Technical University of Braunschweig puts its relevance in research and teaching to the test and invites everyone interested to actively participate in this living university culture. Further information on the events can be found at TU Braunschweig and bmbf .
