Southern Bavaria enthusiastic: U12 selection beats RB Salzburg with will and talent!

On June 5, 2025, the 18-member selection team of the 2013 vintage from southern Bavaria won an impressive victory against the U12 by Red Bull Salzburg. Under the direction of the trainers Manuel Bruckmeier and Thomas Mooser, the team previously completed two viewing units in Rosenheim-Süd/Ost, Reichenberg North/West and Buchbach. The first meeting took place on May 16 in the renowned Red Bull Academy in Salzburg.

In this first game, all nominated players were present without injury -related failures. The selection team started with high intensity and easily took over the upper hand in the first quarter, although there were no significant opportunities. Players like Luis Bichler were partly used in unusual positions, which illustrated the experimental approach of the trainers.

In the second quarter, Fabian Hettich managed to score the first goal - a long -range shot that led to 0: 1. This gave the South Bavarian team further a boost, even if Red Bull Salzburg gained more control over the game in the following quarters and became dangerous through individual actions. Simon Wildmoser, the goalkeeper of the selection, showed outstanding achievements and kept the zero, which the team enormously motivated.

The performance of the selection team was shaped by strong will, individuality and self -confidence. These properties contributed to the fact that they were able to recognize themselves in a demanding and highly intensive game. The team then received an invitation to an academy and for a dinner together with Wolfgang Schrattenecker, the director of the Red Bull Akademie.

The Red Bull Academy in Salzburg is known for its comprehensive training and offers almost 400 young football and ice hockey players a sporty home. The academy pursues a training philosophy that brings education (51 %) and sport (49 %) into a balanced relationship. Players not only receive sporting training on modern training facilities, but also comprehensive schooling.
