A 90-year-old woman from Dormagen was the victim of a brazen theft on Monday morning. Near the cemetery on Holzwegstrasse, she was addressed by an unknown woman at 10:00 a.m., who asked her about the time. While the older lady was involved in a conversation, an accomplice took the opportunity and tore her the golden necklace from the neck.

The scary duo continues to flee, despite intensive police search measures. The perpetrator is described as about 35 years old, slim with a long, dark brown hair bound to a ponytail and has an Eastern European appearance. Witnesses are urgently asked to report information on 02131 300-0 or by email to the police.
