38350 Helmstedt, Deutschland - The fire department Oberkochen has carried out an intensive training day for technical assistance. The aim of this training was to ensure quick and precise operations to save life. On this special day, nine vehicles with new devices were professionally cut by external trainers in order to optimally prepare the emergency services for different scenarios. Frank Ebbers, a firefighter and trainer, emphasized the need for the correct operation of the devices, since the speed and precision are crucial for medical care. The training on new, operating -amended devices has already started, which is essential in view of the change in vehicle technology.

In order to meet the challenges in technical assistance, regular practice is essential. New materials and construction methods in vehicles require constant adjustment of the skills of the emergency services. The theoretical part of the training provided information about modern developments, such as high -strength steels and additional security features, including airbags. In addition, new battery -driven devices were used that increase the speed of reaction and flexibility.

The practical exercise took place in the Oberkochen building yard, where five comrades prepared the nine vehicles for various exercise scenarios. The simulated scenarios included a side impact against a tree, a vehicle in the side and a car on the roof. Each of these scenarios required specific techniques, especially when saving from a side vehicle, where there is a risk of hanging trauma.

Technical assistance follows the so -called "rescue principle". This process includes securing the vehicle and the surrounding area, creating access to the patient and the subsequent rescue in coordination with the emergency services. Training in technical assistance is of great importance for efficient rescue. The participants were encouraged to strengthen action skills and to learn both technical and medical knowledge. The training also includes other aspects of technical assistance, including the safe and effective use of breaking tools for time -critical door openings in the emergency services. Both theoretical and practical knowledge are imparted here. Participants must have a closed troops training part 1 according to FWDV 2 and personal protective equipment. The earlier course of these training shows that up to twenty people can participate per round, whereby the content is not only theoretically but also practically sound in order to be prepared for various accident and rescue scenarios.
