Fire station for Hüde: Lemförder Rat gives the green light despite cost pressure!

Hüde, Deutschland - In the Lemförder Rathaus, personnel costs have increased steadily in recent years. There is considerable concern among the council members about the development of these costs. Some members have asked to have a greater impact on personnel costs, but this led to an application that was postponed and should initially be discussed not publicly. The increased cost structure meets an already burdened budgetary situation, which leads to a critical discussion about the finances of the velvet community.

However, a positive signal was also set at the meeting of the velvet community council: the construction of a new fire station for the Hüde-Marl local fire brigade was approved. This measure is part of a more comprehensive plan for a rescue center, which in addition to the fire brigade will also include a rescue station and the DRK's water guard. The fire station will rent the fire station for a period of 30 years.

budget planning and personnel costs

In the current budget, a total of 5.8 million euros are estimated for personnel costs, which corresponds to around 37 percent of the total expenses. After billing the services for the member community, a share of 24 percent remains. The velvet community employs a total of 67.91 positions with employees, including 29.90 in the administrative area and 8.51 civil servants. Individual members of the council express concerns about the high personnel costs and their effects on the debt of the community.

Uwe Allhorn, the head of the ordinance and social welfare office, will retire on February 1, 2026, but will probably have his last working days in October 2025. The Council unanimously decided to write down the area of allhorn internally in summer, with a chosen hourly scope of at least 32 hours a week.

internal changes and promotions

Another point on the agenda was the promotion of Corinna Stolte to the top community inspector. Stolte has been in the velvet community since 2018 and has been the head of the office since 2020. In addition, Annika Koop was appointed civil servant for life after successfully completing her three -year probation period. An application for the participation of the Velvet Community Committee in the event of changes in internal work processes was also postponed.

The legal assessment of the administration to the application indicates that the council can only influence the business distribution on the decision of a guideline. In addition, the Council can influence the job occupation through the job plan, but cannot participate in concrete implementations. The administration has proposed to regularly inform the Council about higher groups and recommends rejecting the corresponding application.

Further information on the financial assessment of personnel costs can be found in Federal Finance Ministry and in the guidelines of the Hessian Ministry for Agriculture .
