Smoke detectors saved life: Munich fire brigade in action according to the risk of fire

In a dramatic incident in Munich, which took place in a six-story apartment building on Monday evening, a fire broke out in the stairwell. Thanks to quick intervention, the flames could be deleted quickly before the fire brigade arrived. Nevertheless, over 20 residents who had panically fled their apartments were counted in front of the building.

The situation was tense: although the fire was already fought, there was a lot of smoke in the stairwell. To ensure that there were no further dangers, the group leader ordered the review of 23 of the 40 residential units. Fortunately, there were no further damage or endangered persons, and the emergency services only had to carry out a small extinguishing work with a small extinguishing device. The staircase and the affected apartments were fully ventilated to eliminate the dangerous flue gases. Information on the cause of the fire and the damage caused by property is not yet available.
