In the early afternoon of May 29, 2025, there was a devastating fire in Schützenstraße. The apartment on the 2nd floor burned out completely, which required an immediate fire brigade. Due to the serious damage to the building, the technical relief organization was consulted to ensure stability. This stabilization made it possible for the emergency services to penetrate deeper into the fire apartment and to look for possible other victims.

Unfortunately, the operational team found a lifeless person in the burned -out apartment in the evening. The extinguishing work went into the early morning hours of Friday. Due to the catastrophic condition of the apartment, the search for other possible victims could initially be completed and will continue on Friday. The fire brigade faces a challenging task, while the dramatic developments in Lübeck keep citizens in suspense.
