Copper thieves put in a fresh act: walkers as a hero in Hennef!

Lauthausen, Deutschland - In Hennef, two copper thieves were caught in the act on Sunday evening! Around 6:30 p.m., a walker with his dog heard suspicious noises from a former chapel. Alarmed by the noise and the urge to act, he contacted the police and put a friend aside. The noises came from a separator with which the young people were with cutting parts of the copper roof.

When the two thieves, a 16-year-old henefer and a 22-year-old Sankt Augustinian with a criminal past, realized that they were exposed, they wanted to flee with a scooter. But the attentive walker and his friend were able to capture them until the police arrived. The suspects stated that they wanted to steal the roof material while the older perpetrator also confessed without driving a license. After the police admission, the minor was handed over to his legal guardians. Both now have to answer for band theft!
