In a dramatic incident on Monday, May 26, 2025, on federal road 401 in Edewecht, the police investigated a 38-year-old Oldenburg. The man is suspected of being involved in a criminal act. The vehicle sought was stopped and checked on Tuesday morning during a traffic control in Oldenburg.

In the course of the investigation, the public prosecutor's office Oldenburg applied for a search decision for the suspect's apartment. During the house search carried out on Tuesday afternoon, the investigators were able to ensure decisive evidence. For reasons of investigation, the police currently do not want to reveal any further information on the case. The investigation continues and the public is asked for understanding.
