Drug raid in Freiburg: Police arrest suspects and kilos of drugs!

On Friday, May 23, 2025, the police in the greater Freiburg area carried out a spectacular blow against drug trafficking. Several suspects were temporarily arrested who are suspected of being involved in the trade in narcotics to a considerable extent. During extensive searches in Freiburg and the surrounding area, the officers used special forces and police dogs and confiscated impressive evidence: over three kilograms of cocaine, about 14 kilograms of marijuana and a whopping 68,000 euros in cash.

The main suspect, a 49-year-old German, was brought to the Freiburg District Court on May 24, which ordered pre-trial detention at the request of the public prosecutor. He is now sitting behind bars and is waiting for the next steps in the process. The police blow sends a clear signal in the fight against drug trafficking in the region!
