Robbery at Mannheim Central Station: Police are looking for witnesses!
On Saturday afternoon, around 2:10 p.m., there was a brazen robbery in the Mannheim main station. A 29-year-old man was attacked by two men in the underpass to Lindenhofplatz. While he and a friend left the underpass, one of the perpetrators tried to get the man in a conversation with his cell phone in his hand. Despite the victim's escape, the suspicious perpetrator did not let himself be drawn up and suddenly attacked him.
In the so-called "sweat box", however, the 29-year-old was able to free himself and pushed the attacker away. After the couple continued his way, the injured person noticed slight neck pain and found that his gold chain had disappeared. An immediate search was unsuccessful, which is why he filed a complaint with the police. The Heidelberg criminal police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the perpetrator. This is described as a North African appearance, about 185 cm tall and between 20 and 30 years old. Information can be reported on 0621/174-4444.
