Police raise the alarm: Massive actions against human trafficking in BW!
The Baden-Württemberg police carried out massive measures to combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation as part of a Europe-wide campaign week from June 1 to 6, 2025. In a coordinating campaign with various authorities, appointments, holiday and private accommodation were checked, where both legal and illegal prostitution takes place. Over 200 civil servants were deployed and controlled hundreds of people and their identity and residence documents. Numerous violations were found, especially against the prostitute protection law, and several preliminary arrests.
The targeted action aims to identify unscrupulous perpetrators who bring young women from economically disadvantaged regions to Germany under false promises and force them to prostitution. The victims are often isolated by violence and fear, which severely limits their possibilities to find help. In addition to the preventive control of crime, the victims of the victims to support supports are also the focus of police work.
