Serious accident on the K8: bikers seriously injured, driver alcoholic!

This morning, around 10 a.m., there was a dramatic traffic accident on the K8 in Bartenshagen, Rostock district. A 40-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured when an alcoholized 63-year-old driver collided with him when overtaking. The man's motorcycle then overturned and had to be recovered from the scene of the accident.

The seriously injured was immediately flown to the hospital with a rescue helicopter. The person who caused the accident had a breath alcohol value of 1.96 per thousand and is now the focus of the investigation. The property damage is estimated at around 6,000 euros, and an expert from the DEKRA was consulted to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.
