He plans to fight for podium places in the stages, whereby he also has to support his teammates. Georg Steinhauser, another German driver, has also made a chance of a stage win in the mountainous sections.
Both drivers, however, have to deal with the challenge that the Giro is technically demanding and weather -changing. Compared to other big tours such as the Tour de France and the Vuelta, the Giro is known for its many mountain stages and the mountainous landscapes that can play a crucial role in racing events, such as Olympics.com reported.
The history of Giro d’Italia goes back to 1909 when the first race of Eugenio Camillo Costamagna and others was launched. The Giro has developed into an important event in cycling over the years and continues to attract the best drivers in the world, such as ridefast.ch
