Berlin shakes: 14 arrests in violent Palestine protests!
In Berlin, the streets have once again become the scene of passionate protests. Hundreds of demonstrators have come together to mobilize against Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip. Around 400 people gathered at one of the protest marches that led from Tempelhof to Kreuzberg. The motto under which they marched was “Solidarity with Palestine – Stop the Gaza Genocide – No arms sales to Israel” , reports the world.
The mood was sometimes tense: the Berlin police announced that there had been several riots during the protests in recent days. In recent incidents, 14 people were arrested and three police officers were injured while attempting to de-escalate the situation. In some cases, officers were forced to use coercion to enforce arrests as other protesters attempted to prevent them. It was also observed that participants chanted banned slogans and hindered the work of media representatives , according to the Tagesschau.
A picture of chaos
Not for the first time in this period: According to the police, around 15,000 people took part in the protests against the attacks on Gaza at a large demonstration on June 22, 2025, which took place in front of the Reichstag building, while the organizers spoke of 30,000 participants. The motto of this gathering was “United for Gaza” and there were also violent clashes there, leading to around 50 arrests. Five police officers were injured , reported the Tagesschau.
The demonstrators wore Palestinian scarves and waved Palestinian flags. On posters they called for an end to arms deliveries to Israel and a stop to the alleged genocide and attacks in the Gaza Strip. These protests are closely linked to the ongoing conflict in the region: Since October 2023, the Gaza Strip has been subjected to intense shelling by the Israeli army, and the tragedies on both sides are undeniable. The mirror informs about the increasing number of around 57,000 deaths and 135,000 injuries according to the UN.
The reports from the Gaza Strip paint an equally bleak picture. At least 72 people died in Israeli attacks overnight, according to the Health Ministry, which is under Hamas control. However, this information is difficult to verify. Amid this tense situation, US President Donald Trump expressed hope for an early end to the fighting and spoke of a possible ceasefire that could be in sight within the next week , as the world reports.
