Border controls: BDK demands more qualified forces for security!

Border controls: BDK demands more qualified forces for security!
thousands of federal police officers have been in use on all German (internal) borders since September 2024-at the instruction of the Federal Ministry of the Interior. These drastic controls, which also lead to the rejection of irregularly intelligent persons, are the focus of a controversial judgment of the Berlin Administrative Court. Critics criticize a possible legacy in the implementation of this measure. The legal situation could soon be clarified by a (above) judicial judgment, but the legal protection of the control powers remains urgently necessary.
The BUND of German Criminal Civil Service (BDK) questions the meaningfulness of this massive mobilization. Numerous special forces and investigators are deducted from their actual tasks and sent to the border, while fighting crime in other areas is suffering. The result is frustrated and tired support forces that are aware that the current measures are at best sending a political signal, but do not really act against irregular migration. The BDK therefore calls for strengthening the border authorities and a return of the special forces to their original tasks in order to ensure the efficiency and quality of the controls. - OTS
