The Opera Children's Orchestra under the direction of Giuseppe Mentuccia opens at 11:30 a.m. with works by Peter Tchaikovsky, followed by an open-air concert by the Staatskapelle Berlin at 1:00 p.m. Here, the renowned conductor Christian Thielemann will perform Johannes Brahms' two great symphonies, Symphony No. 3 in F major and Symphony No. 1 in C minor. These pieces are masterpieces that Brahms created after years of studying Beethoven's music.
